History

August 11, 1990 – Formation approved by the Grand Encampment, Knights Templar, USA and Knights Templar Eye Foundation, Inc.

October 3, 1990 – Georgia Secretary of State issued Certificate of Incorporation as a 501(c)3 non-profit. Incorporation guidelines were that The Mollie S. Moseley Eye Foundation Trust will be a division of the Grand Commandery of Georgia, administered by the KTEF Trustees, with all dividends and interest becoming property of the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, Inc.

October 18, 1990 – By-laws approved by the Grand Commandery of Georgia, KT

January 1991 – IRS Standards determined that The Mollie S. Mosley Eye Foundation Trust, Inc. would be exempt from Federal Income Tax.

Mission

The objects and purposes of the Mollie S. Mosely Foundation Trust, Inc., as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation is to generate, acquire, and administer funds and properties, with all funds so generated and acquired distributed to The Knights Templar Eye Foundation, Inc.

To serve as a depository for all KTEF donations from each Georgia Commandery until said commandery accumulates the required donation level necessary for cumulative awards from the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, Inc.                                     

NOTE: The Georgia KTEF, Inc. prepares all documents and forwards the same, along with supporting funds, to the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, Inc., Grand Encampment, and requests the issuance of the appropriate award.
