Annual Grand Sessions

Companions and Sir Knights:

After working with your Georgia Grand York Rite presiding officers, we have developed an itinerary for our 2021 Georgia Grand York Rite Sessions that will allow for our business meeting and limited social events while providing some measure of safety protocols for attendees. This will include an in person joint business session to be held in compliance with our Grand York Rite Codes at the Grand Chapter of Georgia Building on Monday May 3, 2021. With limited seating for this session, please let my office know by response to this email if you plan to attend. Temperatures will be taken at the door and face coverings will be mandatory. There will NOT be a virtual link provided for this session.

Your 2020-2021 Most Excellent Grand High Priest, Most Illustrious Grand Master and Right Eminent Grand Commander and their wives will host a limited seating joint luncheon at Al Sihah Shrine in Macon on Saturday May 15, 2021 to celebrate and recognize some of our outstanding York Rite Masons. This will be followed by a joint Memorial Service at the Grand Chapter Building, and then our new Grand York Rite Officers will be installed in successive ceremonies at the same location. You will then be invited to attend a very informal meet and greet in the lobby of our Grand Chapter Building at 7 pm to welcome our new officers. In following the precedence set by our adjoining Grand Jurisdictions, we will not be issuing invitations to out of state guests for any activities.

After consultation with the officers and degree teams for the Order of High Priesthood, Order of the Silver Trowel and Knight Crusader of the Cross, it was decided that we will not be conferring the York Rite Chair Degrees at this years Grand York Rite Session. Hopefully, we will come back in the Fall of the year and confer those. Communications will be sent as that decision becomes clearer.

All of this will obviously depend on whether the current pandemic will allow us to meet face to face at that time. As we progress through the next several weeks, we will update you as needed. In the meantime, I am attaching the program of events as well as the luncheon reservation form.
